Schedule Update and Stuff Schedule Update and Stuff Spring has sprung and with it the expected outpouring of "when is the next x book coming out." I don't know why people choose spring to spring this on me but it's getting to be a pattern. So, once again, here is the "not a schedule schedule" of forthcoming books and books in progress. This is an edited and expanded response to a recent email with a PS asking when the next Princess of Wands book comes out: Was working on the sequel (painfully slowly) when I was asked to concentrate on the Mike book. Same thing has happened before. Basically, I'll get the sequel done "some day" but when is the question and I don't have an answer. Maybe as soon as next week, maybe as long as three years. Just Don't Know. Ditto Dragons. Getting more interested in getting back to Herzer but the story hasn't gelled. And it's not like I don't have other things to write. Keldara: Fifth book comes out this summer (A Deeper Blue) None planned to write for the near future. I've got other areas of concentration. But I'll get back to them. March, Empire of Man, whatever is "two years after David gets me an outline, I don't have an outline." The two years is when it comes out. One year to mull David's outline and write the book, one year (more or less) from then until it hits the bookstores. Into the Looking Glass sequels are "three done, two turned in, one scheduled, last one in final stages." These are, by the way, very fun books. Don't miss Vorpal Blade when it comes out or you'll be sorry. Star Trek meets It's a Mad, Mad World with a cast of dozens of bedoomed Space Marines battling for truth, justice, honor and really boss rock and roll on the Arms of Orion. Next Cally book (Sister Time featuring the return of Michelle O'Neal) is "in final stages, scheduled for next year." Next Mike O'Neal book is "I'm working on it already! Gimme a break! I've got 75,000 words done but if I have to keep answering the damned question it's just GOING TO TAKE LONGER! I've only got two hands and one overclocked brain you relentless BASTARDS!" :-) Oh, don't miss the new Cruxshadows album Dreamcypher. Among other things, the next Mike O'Neal book is named Eye of the Storm and is heavily influenced by the song of the same name.
